Luqiang Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. would like to share with you the problems with the installation of double-layer oil tanks?
Installation issue: Is it better to have a cement base or a carbon steel base for a double-layer oil tank?
1. The double-layer oil tank must use a concrete base as the oil tank support
The advantages are:
1) The self weight of concrete is relatively high, which can effectively prevent the movement of oil tanks;
2) Concrete has good corrosion resistance and does not undergo denaturation when buried deep underground, which can effectively protect the outer layer of double-layer oil tanks;
3) The concrete foundation is constructed together with the oil tank anti-seepage tank, and the structural strength is relatively high.
2. The reason why carbon steel supports cannot be used for double-layer oil tanks:
1) The carbon steel support is welded with carbon steel plates, which has low corrosion resistance. If buried deep underground, it is easy to deform the support due to corrosion, thus losing the support function of the oil tank;
2) The cost is relatively high, and even if carbon steel supports are used, a concrete foundation must be made to fix the oil tank to prevent it from drifting;
3) Carbon steel supports are generally designed for convenient transportation and are not buried underground with oil tanks.
I have explained the advantages and disadvantages of installing double-layer oil tanks to everyone, and the answers are all known.
